So Much To Be Thankful For!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Holidays are a time when we celebrate ritual and routine. . .when "same-ness" is not only Ok-it's expected. It seems every family has their "thing" or "things" that they always do and without them the holidays just aren't the holidays. Whatever those "things" are-eggnog mixed with 7-up, cranking the Christmas music starting at 8 am Thanksgiving morning, making three times as much food is as needed, fistfights with the relatives-can be as varied and crazy as our families are. Years can be marked by deviations from the tradition-The Year Mom Bought a Different Brand of Pumpkin For Her Pies, The Year We Forgot Great-Aunt Ethel in the Car During Dinner. I love tradition and I love holidays with our families! Wishing you joy with yours!

Grandma Turner meets Maxwell.

Tyson gives a lesson in the proper way to carve a turkey. Did anyone else know that there is a part of the turkey called the "oyster"?
A little weird if you ask me-and disappointing. If you are going to use the term oyster then you had better produce some seafood!

Naptime for little boys and big boys too.
